Transjakarta Corridor XIII Elevated Lane Awaits for Auction

Elevated TransJakarta lane corridor XIII Ciledug - Blok M route are planned to start in the mid of 2014. Physical development plan of this lane has been registered at City Procurement goods and Service Auction Unit (ULP). However, the work has not started yet because it is still waiting for the auction.

"We're still waiting for the auction process in City ULP," said Manggas Rudi Siahaan, Head of Public Works Department (DPU) Jakarta, Thursday (4/17).
He said that the auction process of TransJakarta elevated lane construction is expected to run for two months. Meanwhile, the work is expected to take 2.5 years, so it will use a multiyear budget.
TransJakarta Elevated Lane is Exclusive"We expect the TransJakarta elevated lane construction started in the second or third quarter of this year. The budget will be in multiyear system divided into two auction packets," he explained.
He added that the construction tender package starts from the Petukangan Selatan area while the second package starts from Jalan Tendean to Blok M.
The first package construction has an obstacle since on Jalan Raya Ciledug has high volume of vehicles. It will create another traffic jam.
"The second package has no big obstacle compared to Ciledug - Blok M package. We are trying to work faster to control traffic congestion in Jakarta that is getting worse," Manggas added.
